Good business Acumen can reap the rewards for companies

Through its Acumen programme, InterTrade Ireland has helped Irish SMEs to grow their business by targeting new cross-border markets. Since it was rolled out across the island in 2003, Acumen has provided assistance to over 270 companies, including Cork company PT Technologies.

Based in Meenane in Watergrasshill, PT Technologies manufactures solvents, wipes and lubricants for the aerospace, power and telecoms industries. The company has an annual turnover of €4.5 million.

InterTrade Ireland gave PT Technologies Acumen consultancy support to expand into the North. Acumen Consultancy Support provides up to 50 per cent of the cost of a 6 to 12 month consultancy project with support of up to €10,000.
