PT Technologies wins €6m Airbus Contract

Airbus UK has awarded a three-year, €6 million contract to manufacturer PT Technologies. Based in Watergrasshill in Cork, PT Technologies manufactures solvent wipe cleaning systems, antibacterial hand cleaning wipes, cable pulling lubricants and network installation consumables for the aerospace, power, telecom and marine industries.

The three-year Airbus contract, awarded last August and rolled out in October, is for the provision of PT's surface cleaning wipes to manufacturing facilities in Broughton in Chester and Filton in Bristol. "The impregnated surface cleaning wipes are used for cleaning and degreasing and sealant removal during the manufacturing process for all of the airbus wings," said James O'Brien, managing director, PT Technologies.
